In contemporary figurative painting there is a tendency to examine the cities in which we live, because the urban aesthetic is fresh and attractive.

However, Abel Florido, the artist who accompanies our Christmas greeting this year, is not just another painter. Through the absence of colour, or rather the precise choice of a single colour, red, he enables us to decipher a real black and white world that is part of the cosmos in which we move.

Abel’s work, which we discovered some years ago in Puigcerdà, delights us with the snapshot of the urbanites, the gesture of the passer-by and an anonymous figure from whom he – the main character – does not remove his gaze, while he informs it is not known who about it is not known what.

This year is the tenth year in which we are supporting original art of quality as we send all our friends a Christmas greeting and occupy a small space in your homes or businesses. Furthermore, in the course of this year we have created a Foundation by the name of MAIA.

The “Fundación MAIA” has been set up with a clear aim: to prevent and raise awareness about the abuse of minors. We will keep you informed about this Foundation in the coming year.
