The “Colección Códigos Básicos” (“Basic Codes Collection”) published by Aranzadi presents this new work, an easy-to-consult compilation of the set of standards governing private security in a single volume. It has been jointly written by Professor Fermín Morales Prats, Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Barcelona, and Francisco Marco Fernández, a lawyer and private detective.

This compilation has opted for a structure that is “atypical” in the world of law, given that standards which are more important in rank and hierarchy appear systematically compiled after the standards on private security. However, the aim here is to create a book that is easy to consult.

This publication also includes a brief summary of the most relevant figures related with private security, the aim of which is to provide the end user with a structured view of the private security sector.

The work comes complete with an analytical index and a chronological index of the regulations cited: essential features of any compilation and legislative classification.
